All diesel vehicles with a registration date from 2009 onwards will have a DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter).
The function of the DPF is to reduce the output of soot created by the diesel engine. The filter acts as a trap to capture this soot. This then reduces the amount of carbon fumes and pollution into the environment.
These filters need replacing or cleaning on a regular basis to enable them to perform correctly. This process is called regeneration and a warning light will appear on the control panel alerting you of the fault. If the regeneration process doesn’t clear this fault most garages will advise fitting a new filter system.

Once your DPF has arrived with us for de-carbonising there is a 48hr turnaround time and the unit will have a 12month warranty (subject to T & C’s)
